Security Cameras

Security cameras at your house protect you.
However, if you're committing a crime, they can be used against you.
The police can go to your house, get access to your Ring camera's video, and they can show when you left the house, the vehicle you left the house in, the clothes you were wearing, and compare that all to the other videos or descriptions that are given by victims.
So while ring cameras protect you in a way, they can also help put you in jail.
